    In early 2014 a very large Silky oak (Grevillea robusta) died in our garden in Camberwell. The mature tree was well over 25 metres in height, 14 metres in canopy spread and with a trunk of 730mm in diameter. It was nestled in a large border surrounded by tree ferns, large camellias and bedding plants. The tree was also very close to our Victorian home, with the trunk only about 6 metres from the house.
